A large amount of time is spent within organisations presenting information both upwards and downwards, both in a training forum and in formal presentations. This programme is concerned with improving the process where there is an overlap between the formal presentation and the need for facilitation and training. This programme will develop the facilitation and training skills of staff that are used to presenting information.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

Staff that have had experience of presenting information who now need to develop their skills towards facilitating learning and group training.

HOW WILL THEY BENEFIT?

They will develop confidence in structuring a training session. They will be able to develop their presentation skills, by reviewing the tips and techniques of very experienced trainers and understanding the needs of the learner.

Understand and describe the essentials for successful presentations.Describe the structure needed for a group training session.Deal with nervousness, audience reaction and questions.

Planning a training session – Preparation & Structure.Structuring your training around preferred learning styles to maximise audience attention and retention.Visual aids.Building rapport with a group.Judging audience reaction.Understanding and using non-verbal communication in training.How to maintain and manage the learning.

DURATION

This course would normally be run over 2-days, this allows time for delegates to prepare and deliver a training session to the rest of the group. Peer and Tutor feedback will be used to develop individual post-course action plans.
